Description
The 2018 International Residential Code (IRC) and amendments have been adopted as the residential building code by the City of Sioux Falls for regulating the construction of single family houses, two-family houses and buildings consisting of three or more townhouse units including structural components, fireplaces and chimneys, thermal insulation, mechanical systems, fuel gas systems, plumbing systems and electrical systems. The minimum building standards in the 2018 edition of the IRC and amendments shall be applied to any building permit issued on June 1, 2019.
HBASE is offering this class to inform builders of notable changes from the 2015 IRC to the 2018 IRC. This class qualifies for continuing education credit for the City of Sioux Falls contractor's licenses.
